Next Generation Memory Module & Flash Card Product Development Leader
¡V KINGMAX Moscow Press Conference

2005/05/27

On April 26, KINGMAX held a press conference in Moscow entitled ¡§Memory Module & Flash Card Development into the Coming Generations¡¨. The first KINGMAX press conference to be held in Moscow, this occasion provided the local IT media with its first opportunity to meet with KINGMAX face to face and for KINGMAX to promote its products in the Russian market.

The world has closely watched Russia's development since reforms, and KINGMAX will continue to support Russia's development by expanding its operations in Russia and working to the fullest to market its brand-name Memory Module & Flash Card products via Russian sales channels.

Lawrence Chang, KINGMAX Semiconductor Inc. Vice President for Marketing said, ¡§KINGMAX Group possesses top of the line equipment and outstanding personnel, and our solid grasp of current and future trends in the ICT industry enables KINGMAX to stay ahead of the competition.¡¨

Soon after its establishment, KINGMAX broke through the barrier that held back traditional memory makers, limiting them to the downstream end of the supply chain. In an unprecedented move, KINGMAX was the world's first memory module manufacturer to establish its own packaging and testing facilities. By fully integrating all of the core upstream and downstream technologies and production processes, KINGMAX was able to direct all processes from upstream wafer dicing to IC design, product development, and packaging and testing.

Because of these advantages, KINGMAX is able to consistently innovate and develop unique leading-edge patent technologies, and also to maintain a firm grasp on quality control to ensure outstanding quality of every KINGMAX memory product.

Eight years ago, KINGMAX began using the unique TinyBGA and proprietary Die Stacked technologies in its memory products, providing KINGMAX with direct advantages with the advent of the DDR2 era. Thereafter, KINGMAX began working to develop lead-free processing technologies to meet the demand for lead-free environmentally-friendly production, and today continues to upgrade existing green processes in line with global trends.

KINGMAX Digital Inc. Vice President for Marketing Jack Liu said, ¡§KINGMAX Group is not satisfied with its past achievements and thus constantly strives to excel.¡¨ In 2001, Kingmax Group established a subsidiary, KINGMAX Digital Inc., focusing on Flash Card product development and sales. Recognizing the important role that packaging plays in digital storage cards, KINGMAX Digital developed its revolutionary PIPTM (Product In Package) patented packaging technology for use in digital storage cards.

The PIP technology is a unique, one-piece packaging technology that provides increased durability for products that are frequently inserted and removed, along with superior water-resistance, pressure resistance and heat resistance. KINGMAX products with PIP? technology quickly became the premier choice among consumers looking for durable, high quality Flash memory products.

The KINGMAX Group constantly strives to improve its competitiveness in the global market and provide customers with the highest quality and most advanced technologies and products, including memory module products (specialized modules for desktop computers, notebook computers, workstations/servers) and digital storage cards (SD, miniSD, MMC, MMCmobile, T-Flash, USB Drive).

PS. KINGMAX would like to thank the professional media company ¡§Image Media¡¨ for their invaluable assistance in making this press conference a success.
